A Thuistí, a Chairde,

Conas atá sibh? Guím gach rath oraibh ag an am neamhchoitianta seo, ar ndóigh. Tá a fhios againn go bhfuil cás gach duine sa bhaile an-difriúil, agus dá bharr sin, ba mhaith loinm a rá libh arís chun pé rud a dhéanamh a oireann daoibh i bhur gcásanna pearsanta féin. I hope you are all managing okay in these unusual times. I know that every family's case is very different, and because of that I want to say to you again, not to worry over what your children do, or do not get done regarding schoolwork.
Ag smaoineamh inniu go mórmór ar Rang a 4 a bhí le bheith ag dul ar an stáitse anocht lena gCeolchoirm - an Seó Talainn, in éineacht leis an gCór Aireagail - an 95 acu! Bhí Rang a 5 le bheith ag glacadh páirt i gCraobh na Mumhan san Amharclann Glór, in Inis, Dé Máirt, le hAnnie, chomh maith. Mo thrua daoibh go léir, ach, mar a deir an seanfhocal - Beidh lá eile ag an bPaorach! Thinking especially of Rang a 4 today, as these pupils, were to be performing in their Ceolchoirm - A Talent Show, along with the 95 in our Chamber Choir! And, indeed, all i Rang a 5, who were to have been performing and competing at the Munster Final of the Schools Drama Festival, at the Glór Theatre, in Ennis, on Tuesday last, with Annie. However, don't worry - you will get to show your talents again!
Tá sé go hálainn an t-aiseolas atá roinnt mhaith agaibh ag cur ar ais chugainn, gan amhras, fiú le grainghrafanna agus físeáin, ach arís, níl aon bhreithiúnas ar éinne a dhéanmann nó nach ndéanann! Táimid ag déanamh sa-iarracht cothromaíocht a fháil leis an teagmháil chuí a dhéanamh libh. Má tá sibh sásta cead a thabhairt dúinn iad a chur suas ar Twitter nó a roinnt anseo, cuir é sin in iúl le bhur múinteoirí, le bhur dtoil, mar bheadh sé go hálainn do na páistí a gcairde a fheiceáil! The feedback that a lot of you are giving, as well as photos and even videos, is great, but again, there is no judgement on those that are, or are not! We are trying hard to strike a balance between those families who really want the contact, support and recommendations, while appreciating that others don't have the time for this, as busy otherwise. If you are happy for us to put up any pictures of activities, your children or you, as families, etc here or on Twitter, please let us know when you send them, as it would be lovely for the children to see each other.
Tá fíor-fáilte romhaibh a rá linn cad iad na hacmhainní is fearr libh, chun gur féidr linn an t-eolas sin a roinnt chomh maith. B'fhéidir gur mahith libh dul ar ais ar na suíomhanna gréasáin a mhol mé ag tosnú le Twinkl.ie. You are all very welcome to share with us the best of the resources that we have shared with you since Twinkl.ie. Seo roinnt eile b'fhéidir gur mhaith libh:
March Issues of the Award-Winning Primary schools Magazines: Eipic, Newsflash, and Primary Planet: www.newsmagmedia.ie - for the Senior Classes, and yourselves! - these are super resources, with Rang a 6 usually getting Eipic in hard copy every month, and learning and enjoying so much from it! These will continue next week with April additions.

Molaim sibh go hard atá mar bhaill de phobal na Gaelscoile agus atá ag obair san líne chun tosaigh chomh dian sin, ar mhaithe le gach duine. Well done to all those of you. who are members of our Gaelscoil AU community, and are working so hard at the front line, and in many vital supporting capacities, providing services to all so badly in need.
Chun gur féidir linn go léir ár gcuid a dhéanmah chun tacú leis seo, ná déanaigí dearmad ar na príomh-mholtaí atá chomh iontach dúinn. So that we can all play our part to support this great work, don't forget the main recommendations that are so important for us all to implement:
  • na lámha a choimeád nite - keep up the handwashing
  • easpa teagmhála fisiciúla a choimead óna chéile - maintain physical distancing
  • Gan na lámha a bheith ar n-ár n-aghaidhanna - not to touch our faces with our hands.
Ceangailte, tá bileog do thuistí ag tacú le paistí ón Roinn Oideachais fad agus atá scoileanna dúnta. Attached, please find some advice from the Department of Education for Parents Supporting Children at home while schools are closed.
Fanaigí slán, agus tugaigí aire dá chéile.
Is mise, le meas,
Inez Uí Eanáin
