Cuairt Moses Chuig
Gaelscoil Aonach Urmhumhan

Last Friday, the staff and pupils at Gaelscoil Aonach Urmhumhan, were thrilled to welcome Moses to the school. Having been introduced to the boys and girls by Ciaran Scully, Moses spoke to the children, and answered all the many questions they had for him!

Speaking to them in small groups gave the children wonderful access to such a gentleman with a lovely story to tell. He told them about life in Fiji, his life in Ireland and playing rugby with Nenagh Ormond Rugby Club, of his international experience playing rugby and much more.

He taught the children some of his home country’s greetings, and national festivals. Making the link with Seán Óg Ó hAilpín’s opening of the Hall Nua at the school last year, Moses was requested to do the Fiji Haka which he performed with aplomb! As one of the on-going projects carried out at the Gaelscoil on Inter-Culturalism, this was a great success! On leaving, Moses signed Supermacs rugby balls for the pupils
